When Kevin at Tyre Glider approached Papa Bravo with his requirements not only did we have to execute a well designed product but we also had to re-invent the approach to an established method and process that had been the way of life for decades!
The ultimate solution and finer points of Tyre Glider took some considerable time, countless prototypes and many many, cut, blistered and sore fingers.
The biggest challenge was breaking the mould of life-long approach and thinking outside the box. With the Papa Bravo innovation and development team the age old tyre lever was reborn with a quicker, more robust and simpler to use product.
The Tyre Glider literally can glide tyres both on and off with ease. The compact and lightweight design works across all bike disciplines, allowing swift removal and installation of tight fitting tyres.
With in house capabilities to prototype design variations via 3D printing, Vacuum Casting and machining we were able perform design iterations in rapid turnaround phases enabling significant lead-time reductions.
As Papa Bravo also has extensive in house tooling and manufacturing experience we were able to perform all relevant design for manufacture requirements following successful development of the Tyre Glider enabling a very smooth and swift transition into high volume manufacture.
