Summer intern, Olly!
By Alex 14-04-2021
The Papa Bravo design team were fortunate to welcome graduate designer Olly Webb this summer, an MSc product design student from Cardiff School of Art and Design, as part of an intern placement.
Olly was keen to gain some hands-on experience of working within a design studio and part of a busy design team, we were more than happy to oblige.
Following his time with us we asked Olly about his experience…
“My time at Papa Bravo was a really enjoyable 4 weeks and it gave me an insight into how a professional design consultancy operates.
During my short time at Papa Bravo I was given a brief to design a premium water bottle which I worked on independently but worked closley with the design team as a whole, I was able to learn from the more experienced senior designers from their in depth knowledge of manufacturing techniques to just bouncing ideas off each other.
As well as working on the bottle brief, I participated in client and supply chain meetings for other projects, I found this to be an invaluable experience as it is something I have not previously done.
Over the 4 weeks I learnt a lot about the different aspects that go into running a commercial product design consultancy and this has helped me as I have moved forward with my design career.”
Some of Olly’s design output can be seen below…

It was a pleasure to have Olly with us as a summer intern, if you too would like to discuss the possibility of a short period of work experience or internship, then please don’t hesitate to register your interest via hello@papabravo.design
