Calibur 3 | Designed by Papa Bravo exists to make electron beam (eBeam) additive manufacturing (AM) more effective and accessible to industry for a broader range of applications. The company is defined by its open approach to the precise alignment of technological solutions with customer expectations.
In this way, Wayland Additive promotes its NeuBeam metal AM process as an attractive and viable alternative to traditional manufacturing and existing AM processes that overcomes many of the issues manufacturers face for high value, complex metal applications.
Papa Bravo were contracted to conceptualise the styling and aesthetics, perform full design and develop of the machine enclosure and framework for volume production release.
In a nutshell, Papa Bravo designed a fully bespoke enclosure to enhance the performance of Waylands AM manufacturing equipment housed inside. The construction of the design enables gradual assembly to give Wayland greater build flexibility.
The distinctive curved edges, and careful use of colour soften the appearance of the large Calibur3 metal enclosure, giving it a sleek, modern appearance. The quality and workmanship complements the cutting-edge technology it protects, allowing it to fit seamlessly into a high-spec advanced manufacturing environment.
